Craft Your Passion #138 Edible Holidays

Another Monday has come so it means that its time for another Craft Your Passion challenge.  This week we are asking you to create a holiday project featuring something edible.  Since last week Thanksgiving was celebrated in the US, this is the card I came up with:

I started with the image and coloured it using my pencil crayons.  I trimmed the edges, rounded the corners, and distressed the edges.  I then chose some coordinating card stock and trimmed everything down to size.

Once I embossed the white piece, matted it with kraft and wrapped it with some bakers twine.  Once the panel was adhered to the card base I foam taped the pumpkin image over the twine and added a little bow.

For the sentiment I trimmed some strips from coordinating colours and added some letter stickers.  I cut the ends with banner points and foam taped the sentiments over the twine.

To finish the front I added some Viva Pearl Pen to the image and around the sentiment.  I love how you can control the size of the pearls so easily.

I kept the inside simple with a matted, distressed piece of white.

Now its your turn!  Create your project featuring an 'edible holiday' and link it up at Craft Your Passion by December 2nd.  There are some prizes up for grabs, have a look at the blog to see what is being offered.

Don't forget about the other DT members, as always they have come up with some beautiful projects so why not take a peak?

Here are the supplies I've used to create my project:
