Its time for another challenge at Use it Tuesday! This time we are asking you to go orange! Dig into your stash and hoarded supplies and find all of those orange bits that you know you have and come join in! Of course I had to do another Halloween project. This is what I came up with:
This project features more papers that I bought with the intention of using last year, lol. I bought both 12x12 and 6x6 verisions of this great Halloween paper collection by Teresa Collins. It is so fun! Unfortunately last year I ran out of steam before I got to Halloween cards but that just means I get to enjoy them this year!
I started with the 6x6 sheet of poison labels and cut it apart. I inked them with light brown and chose an orange spider web sheet for the background. I cut the orange piece down, inked the edges, and matted it with black. I adhered the labels in a random manner, then added some black hemp twine (which is also hoarded by the way - I think I may have used it once since I got it).
I stamped the spiderwebs on vellum with black pigment ink, then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I fussy cut the spiderwebs, inked the edges with regular black ink, and foam taped them in opposite corners of the main panel. I did the same with the spider, coloured the reverse side with purple to give it a nice tint, and foam taped it to one of the webs. Its hard to see in the picture but I added some glitter pen to the flourish on the spider's back.
The sentiment was stamped on a piece of white with regular black ink, I added glitter pen to the enclosed letters, then inked the edges of the banner with more light brown ink. It was also adhered with more foam tape.
Then center was decorated with inked white matted with black card stock, and a black and white spider pattern. I added some die cuts from the 12x12 set.
Now its your turn to go use it! Create an orange project and link it up to to the inlinkz at Use it Tuesday by Friday November 2nd, and make sure to tell us in your post what you used that was hoarded! One lucky crafter who joins in will be randomly chosen as featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!!
