Its finally the first day of Mark's Finest Papers October blog hop and there are some great stamp sets to play with this month!  The first set is similar to the mini set that I posted about on Friday as it consists of many Christmas images that were included in previous sets, only now in a smaller size.  Here is what I came up with:

I started by grabbing some Christmas-y patterns and pulling out my old ornament punch.  I punched three ornaments and heat embossed a different image on each.  I chose a coordinating background pattern and some card stock, cut everything down to size and inked the edges of everything with gold ink.

Once the main panel was adhered together I punched a small hole in the top of each ornament and tied a bow with some jute twine.  One tail was left long so I could attach it to the back of the panel once the ornaments were placed.  The ornaments were adhered in place with foam squares.  I felt like there wasn't quite enough sparkle for my taste so of course I grabbed my trusty glitter pen and added some to the images, and also in a border around the main panel and each ornament.

The center was decorated with another piece of pattern with some cream that had also been inked with gold.  I heat embossed another pinsettia, adhered everything together and I was done!

This set is really cute, and if your stamp stash is missing some cute holiday images this would be a good set to turn to.  I think it is a good basic that you would go to year after year in your holiday card making!

Well, this is a blog hop after all so don't forget to visit the rest of the DT and let them know what you think of their beautiful creations!  And don't forget to go back to the main blog so that you can qualify for the draw.  Also why not visit the Mark's Finest Papers store?  I'm sure you'll find a few things to add to your Christmas list!
