Craft Your Passion Challenge #132 A Witchy Project.

Its Monday so that means its time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion. This time we are asking you to create a project with a witch as your image. Here is what I came up with:

This week I had the pleasure of using an image from sponsor A Day for Daisies.  I coloured the image, inked the white space with black ink as I really like the halo effect that it gives, and I inked the edges with silver.  The piece was matted with a black pattern that has a subtle polka dot (difficult to see in the photos) and that was also inked with silver.

The sentiment was also stamped on a piece of patterned paper in orange pigment ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I inked the edges with black then silver, and banner cut the end.

For the background I matted a piece of creepy Halloween damask (notice the skulls)  with Black and of course inked the edges with black and silver.  I adhered some black seam binding with a bow, and then some banner cut strips of patterns.  The focal image and banner were foam taped over this.

The final touches are some die-cut bats that had also been inked with silver.  Some green gems for eyes add the perfect amount of Halloween creepiness.

The inside is just an inked piece of white matted with black and some spare bats that were inked with sliver.  Glitter pen was added to the eyes of the inside bats.

This was fun and creepy card to make, now its your turn!  Simply head on over to Craft Your Passion Challenges and link your 'witchy' project by Sunday October 21st in order to be eligble for our always awesome prizes.  Have a look at the blog to see what we are giving away this week.

And don't forget to visit the rest of the DT to see what they've come up with!  There is all kinds of inspiration to be had!  :)
