The special stamp set we have for you this month is:
"Love Script"

The mini stamp set we have for you this month is
"Big Cupcake"

I always love Mark's Finest Papers' floral sets, and today's set is no exception:

Isn't it pretty?  I was inspired to use a scrap leftover from this card.  Here is what I came up with for this set:

I embossed the images on the scrap and highlighted with white gel pen.  I chose the white base and some grey ribbon to coordinate, along with a fun floral embossing folder.

I used the birthday sentiment on the inside:

This would be a lovely set to add to your collection.  But this isn't the only great set this month, make sure you check out the Mark's Finest Paper's Store to see what other great sets and supplies they have to offer.

And don't forget the rest of the design team, they have some beautiful projects to show you as always!

Love your card. The white really sets off the image.

First of all, you chose one of my favorite colors (purple), so I already loved the card. And the white gel pen highlights really bump it up a couple of notches. Such a pretty, pretty card!

What an amazing scrap to work with! Before I read your description, I thought you had used a crayon resist technique. Your white gel pen highlighting is very cool!

I used versafine to stamp my images and heat emboss with clear powder, but you could certainly use an embossing ink like Versamark and black embossing powder if thats what you have. I try not to use black embossing powder though because I find its a bit more messy (I am clumsy and I will spill it, lol), but I don't think it makes too much of a difference in the end result. :)
