Get Inspired - Fall

Hi everyone!  Its Saturday which means its time for some cardmaking inspiration!

This week its my turn to share something I've found inspirational. This week I decided to forgo Pinterest (I know, I can't believe it either!)  and look around me for some inspiration.  I decided on a recent photo taken during a walk with my son.

Its Fall!!  Finally the colours are turning, my favourite time of year!  This maple tree, a street over from where I love, is my favourite.  Once turned its leaves are a brilliant bright red. So pretty! But, the turning is also beautiful, starting with dark shades of green on the bottom and moving to bright sprays of red on top.  I decided to use this colour change as inspiration for today's card.

I decided to bring the colour into my card by using mists.  I cut a white panel and sprayed it with my chosen colours and masked it using some mesh saved from a clementine box.  I also sprayed a smaller piece of white with just red, cut some rough circles and made some rolled flowers.  Some twine and red rhinestones were the perfect complement.  I used a sentiment from an upcoming October stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers called "I Am Thankful".

By the way, the October blog hop featuring the new stamps starts next week so don't forget to visit the Mark's Finest Papers Blog on Tuesday to see what's new and start hopping at the beginning.

Also don't forget to go to the Get Inspired page at MFP Speedy TV next week to see what MariLynn does with this image.  There are so many different things she could do! In the meantime have a look around you and see if anything inspires you.  Inspiration to create can come from anywhere!  Feel free to share your creations with us.  :)
