First I'll show you the extra set. Its a Christmas themed set, which is good because Christmas is right around the corner. Called " it is a great set to use for both cards and for gift tags:
I came up with two similar cards for this set:
The images and the tags work perfectly together.
The second set is the mini set this month and I must say its my favourite set being offered this month. Its called "Nature's Broadstrokes":
I love that flower image. So pretty! Even so, I started with the 'nature' stamp because as soon as I saw it I was inspired to create my own embellishment with it:
I love the faux-metal embellishment technique. You can find a tutorial here. I also made some rolled flowers by cutting out two rough circles, then cutting them into spirals and rolling them to make two flowers. I love this patterned paper so it is a good way to use up the scraps.
I couldn't help but go CAS for my second card:
A simple card for a simple image. I love this image! I can see myself using it over and over and over. And I love that the set included a mini version too, perfect for the inside. :)
Thats it for today, I hope you liked what I've come up with. And I hope you come back tomorrow for the blog hop! There are lots of lovely sets that I know you will enjoy!
