MFP June Sneak Peak!

Hi everyone!  Posting a bit late today but I'm here! :)  The Mark's Finest Papers June blog hop starts tomorrow so today some of the design team members are sharing the mini and extra sets that are being released this month.  Lets get started!

I'll share the mini set first.  You will receive the mini set for free when you purchase the bundle of the main four sets in the Mark's Finest Papers Store.  Its called "Wings".

Although it's pretty, I wasn't sure what to do with this set at first. But, once I got going I really liked what I came up with.  For my first card I used a scrap left over from the backgrounds I made for  these cards back in March.

Vellum cardstock worked perfectly for the wings, andI love the silver and the blue together.  The embossing folder makes the card seem a little fancier than I had first intended.  I'm not showing the inside as I decided to leave it blank. This card could be used for a variety of occasions such as graduations, birthdays, weddings, etc.  When it comes time to use it I will just stamp a simple sentiment  or write a note inside.

For my second card I went in a less conventional direction:

As I was looking at the set trying to figure out what to do I kept thinking that the second set of wings looked like petals.  I originally had the idea to stamp the images several times, cut them out and arrange them in a flower on the front of the card, which I may still eventually do, but in the end I decided to keep things more simple.  I love the tomato orange colour against the green, and the black hemp twine worked perfectly as stems.  I added the jute bow by punching small holes on either side of the stems and threading the twine through.  I really love this card.  :)

The second set I'm showng you is the extra set for the month and its called "You Are an Angel".

I know what you're thinking - Christmas already?  Well honestly, its never to early to get your Christmas cards started, especially if you have lots to send out!  I decided to create two cards that were  very clean with similar layouts.

I love the combination of cream and gold with just a touch of colour.  A few sequins and some glitter pen add the perfect amount of sparkle.

For my last card I decided to combine the two sets:

I think white and red are a classic combination for Christmas cards, although you could easily turn this into a thank you card with a different sentiment inside.  I had fun adding gems to this one, I almost couldn't stop. :)

So thats it for me today!  These sets will be available at the Mark's Finest Papers store starting tomorrow.  Tomorrow is also the first day of our June blog hop so I hope to see you back here.  You won't be disappointed!! :)
