Craft Your Passion #133 Fairies and Fantasy

Its another Monday so its time for yet another challenge at Craft Your Passion Challenges!  This week we are asking you to create project featuring fairies or fantasy.  Here is what I came up with:

.

Since we are so close to Halloween I couldn't miss the opportunity to make another Halloween card, so I chose this great image from our sponsor Delicious Doodles called "Eyeball Wormetti".  Mmm, looks yummy, lol.  That little spider looks like he's ready to have a big lunch!

I started with the image, coloured with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  Since the 'meal' is so bright I decided to keep everything else black, so I chose some card stock and coordinating papers.  Everything was inked with black, and the darker papers were also inked with silver.

Once the main panel was adhered I added ribbon.  I didn't have black ribbon wide enough, so I just laid three strips of ribbon side by side in the middle of the panel to get the effect I wanted.  The image and some pieces of patterned paper to mat were layered over the ribbon with foam tape.  Once I had these placed I added the bow, a black flower, and a little die cut spider.

I of course added some silver ink to the spider and flower to help them stand out, then added some purple gems.  I also added a bit of Sakura glitter pen to the spider's mouth.  I felt that the card needed something else, so lastly I added some glossy accents to the eyeballs.

For the inside I layered some patterned scraps over some matted and inked white, then added another die cut spider. Of course some glitter was added to the spider. :)

Now its your turn!  You don't have to create a Halloween project, as long as it fits into the "Fairies and Fantasy" theme you can create whatever your imagination dreams up!  Simply link it up to Craft Your Passion Challenges by October 28th to qualify for the prizes.  Have a look at the blog to see what you could win.

And don't forget about the rest of the DT.  Its amazing to see what this bunch comes up with each week so don't miss the opportunity to see what they have to offer!
