So, I have a confession. If you have read my blog before then you know that I really like ribbon, so you might think I have a pile of the stuff squirreled away somewhere. Unfortunately (particularly for this challenge) you'd be wrong. Most of what I've previously had hoarded I've used, and anything new I get I usually use it right away. So I really had to think about what to do for this challenge. Then I remembered, I had won a challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon back in May, and the ribbon I had ordered with my gift certificate I had put away instead of putting it in my ribbon jars. This was the perfect challenge to haul it out!
I knew I wanted to use each colour of ribbon, so I decided to keep the rest of the card pretty simple. I only used white card stock. Once I had my pieces cut, scored, and embossed I simply put everything together, stamped my sentiment, and as an afterthought I added coordinating colours of gemstones. I really love how this card turned out!!
Now its your turn!! Create a project (it doesn't have to be a card - whatever you can think of!) and go to Use it Tuesday. Add your project using the inlinkz by Friday August 17th, and make sure to tell us in your post what you used that was hoarded! One lucky crafter who joins in will be randomly chosen as featured guest designer in an upcoming challenge!!
We can't wait to see what you create! Now go Use It!!
Here are the supplies I used this time:

ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card. I love that ribbon, with the curly edges. It's a good thing you put it somewhere because it would have totally been used up long before this challenge!! Thanks for being part of our UIT team, Cathy.
ReplyDeleteThis card caught my eye straight away on the DT creations post on UIT!!
