We are being sponsored by Bugaboo this week and I got to choose one if their digis for my project. When I saw this cute ladybug I knew it would be the one I had to go with. I used to have a thing for ladybugs (I even have a tiny tattoo of one), and I think they are pretty cute. This image is no exception. I coloured her up with some alcohol markers and Sakura glitter pen (sometimes I don't know what I would do without it, lol). I cut her out and then I had a pretty clear image of what I wanted to do next.
I chose the various shades of card stock, then raided my green paper stash for some Stampin' Up! Certainly Celery (my favourite shade) scraps. I die cut multiple strips of grass and adhered them to the darker green sheet. I assembled the card front, added the ribbon, adhered the panel to the card front, and added the ladybug, stamped sentiment, and flower.
I kept the inside simple with a matted piece of white, and a small bit of grass. Lately I've been keeping the centers blank unless I am making the card for a specific person. I've been doing so many DT projects lately I find it much easier to stamp or write the required sentiment when I am ready to give the card.
Don't you want to join in the fun? Create your project and add it to the inlinkz at Craft Your Passion by August 19th so that you can be entered into the draw. See the blog for details on prizes! And if you feel you need more inspiration the DT have created some beautiful projects. Feel free to visit their blogs and tell them what you think! :)
