Since Craft Stamper is a UK magazine the most current issue they had was the March issue. I was quite inspired by the examples they had for the stamp. As a result I decided to make a 'Happy New Home' card.
Once I decided what to make I had a pretty clear idea of what to do. I chose the patterned paper and cardstock I wanted to work with, and cut everything down the way I wanted.
My original plan was to stamp the castle I would colour in black and the remaining castles in gray, but after sponging the text pattern I realized the text was more of a brownish tone than a grayish tone so I decided to stamp the rest of the castle images in a light brown. I like the contrast much better.
I coloured the main castle with red and gray markers, and added some glitter pen to the door and windows.
I adhered the background patterns together, added some ribbon with a good size bow, and foam taped the main image panel over the ribbon. Once completed the whole thing was attached to the card base.
For the inside, I didn't have a 'new home' sentiment stamp so I decided to hand write the sentiment on a piece of cream cardstock. I sponged the cardstock with more gray, and adhered it to the inside with other bits of patterned paper.
I like how this card turned out!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
- Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
- Pile it On - All about 's'
I used the following supplies:
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Basic Gray, Very Vanilla. Lily Bee Design Memorandum 6x6 Tiny Tablet.
Stamp: Free stamp from March 2012 Craft Stamper Magazine by The Octopode Factory.
Ink: Memories Black. Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink Charcoal, Creamy Brown.
Markers/ Pens: Bic Mark Its Rambunctious Red, Cloud Nine Gray. Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Star. Black ink uni-ball pen.
Ribbon: Gray satin ribbon from stash.
Adhesive: Tombo Mono Permanent Adhesive Runner, foam squares.

I think the way you've done the card makes the right image stand out. Love the colour scheme you've gone with. xx
